Gifts from the Trespasser
Wednesday, December 24, 2025
Label:
Free Verse
A loud thud beneath their roof
on a silent night
Two pairs of wary eyes
wide open—gaze at each other
They hurry down and
notice a wisp of red and white mist
fading away
To the children's delight,
morning dawns with
the gifts from the trespasser
