Scorching and
throbbing—
it entered my arena
as a wildfire
trying to shut
my body down
I deprived
its life-force
of nourishment
to replenish
my own prana
It was smothered
slowly—
no external agent
only trusting my senses
and nature around me
I watched
I observed—
without much reaction,
created conditions
for the battle within
Like a monster
subdued—
the fever
drifted away
eerily whispering,
“I’ll be back again”
