thirty storeys high—
I look down through
a large window—
tiny toys and
ants crawling
on concrete pathways
Far beyond—
a span of
colourful blocks
with greens—
just a highlighter
Night settles
beneath the empty sky—
stars have fallen down
illuminating
dark chambers
Twinkling atop
the far horizon—
beacons for
air traffic or
something unknown
Neon scribes
‘Sun’ and ‘Star’—
signatures on blocks
as the full moon
hangs alone
in its silver gaze
