Under the Cascade

Water hitting the crown
gently flows down
washing away
what’s held

Eyes closed
tears mingled
with water—
liquid,
fluidity,
becoming one

Through the crevices
of countless strands—
eyelashes and beard
washed anew

Water
unheld,
untrapped—
a free flow
down the face

Kissing the neck
caressing the chest
like a love-touch
a finger running down

Invisible shadows
as liquid,
fluid,
expelled from the body
mingled with water
becoming one
at the root

Down the spine—
the ramified points
hit by the cascading drops
awaken,
enliven them

Separating,
cleansing,
uniting
with water
as it flows
and flows
