Inside the Mirror

This side of the mirror—
where nothing is reflected
I stood as real as I could get

As I started reflecting—
I entered the mirror
in front of me

It’s another world
where I exist
and no one else

My inner voices
my words
my reflections
are the building blocks

Brick by brick
I started building
the world that I wanted

No worldly glamour
no nasty surprises
yet there are storms
rainfalls and floods

I churn the ocean
I fly in my dreams
I climb the mountains
I jump off the cliff

A light has since fallen
on the mirror—
I opened the gate

Slowly the light entered
finding a home
inside the mirror
